17 projects having been carried out under the programs of Fundamental Research of the Presidium and RAS Branches during 2007.

Program of Fundamental Research of the FEB RAS Presidium No 1"Quantuum nanostructures", Program Coordinator - Academician Zh. I. Alferov.
There are the following projects within the framework of the program:
"Formation and properties of the structures with the reduced dimension on the silicon surface". The leader of the project - Corr. Member of RAS A.A. Saranin.
"Electrons transportation in the surface phases and structures with the reduced dimension". The leader of the project - PhD (Phys. - Math.) D.A. Tsukanov.
"Magnetic and electric properties of cluster and layer metal nanostructures". The leader of the project - Dr.Sc.(Phys.-Math.) L.A. Chebotkevich.
"Growth and transport properties of the nanolayers and metal-semiconductor heterosystems on a basis of transition metal, their silicides and silicon". The leader of the project - Dr.Sc.(Phys.-Math.) N.I. Plusnin.
"Monolithic silicon heterostructures on a basis of semiconducting silicides: growth and instrument properties". The leader of the project - Dr.Sc.(Phys.-Math.) N.G. Galkin.

Program of Fundamental Research of the FEB RAS Presidium No 9 "Investigation into matter under the extreme conditions" (subprogram "Fundamentals of magneto-plasmic aerodynamics"). Coordinators: Academicians V.E. Fortov, G.G. Cherny, B.A. Zharikov, B.A. Babeshko, F.G. Rutberg and Corr. Member of RAS S.M. Stishov.
Project "Digital investigation into influence of local hot-water system on aerodynamic characteristics of aircrafts". The leader of the project - Academician V.A. Levin.

Program of Fundamental Research of the FEB RAS Presidium No 14 "Fundamental problems of informatics and information technologies", Section II "High-performance calculus and multiple-processor systems". Coordinators: Academicians O.M. Belotserkovsky, S.V. Emelyanov, Yu.I. Zhuravlev, V.V. Voevodin, V.A. Levin and Corr. Member of RAS A.V. Zabrodin.
Project "Parallel calculus under making of instrumental and problem-oriented tools to solve computer-complex tasks of modeling of ocean and atmosphere dynamics using satellite information, optimization under the conditions of uncertainty and making of intellectual systems". The leader of the project - Academician V.A. Levin.
Project "Intellectual systems based on the multilevel models of data domains". The leader of the project - Dr.Sc.(Phys.-Math.), Prof. A.S. Kleschev.

Project "Investigation into the processes of growth in the systems silicon-silicide-silicon and their properties using the methods of optic spectroscopy and combination scattering". The leader of the project - Dr.Sc.(Phys.-Math.) N.G. Galkin.
Project "Low-dimensional atomic structures on the silicon surface". The leader of the project - Corr. Member of RAS A.A. Saranin.

Project "Vector interaction of the low-coherent waves of low-power in the semiconducting crystals of cadmium tellurite". The leader of the project - Corr. Member of RAS Yu.N. Kulchin.

Project "Research in the processes of interaction of coherent radiation and the objects of nanometer dimensions using semiconductive laser - waveguide optical microresonator system. The leader of the project - Corr. Member of RAS Yu.N. Kulchin.

Program of the Branch of Energy, Machine-Building, Mechanics and Control Processes of RAS "Development of mechanics of multiscaled (from nano- to macroscales) deformation, and failure as the basics of new materials design with improved operational characteristics". Coordinator: Academician N.F. Morozov.
Project "Dynamics of material micro-heterogeneities under the conditions of their forming". The leader of the project - Dr.Sc.(Phys.-Math.) A.A. Burenin.
